Analytics storage defaults to granted outside the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, and defaults to denied in those regions until Google Privacy & messaging reports the visitor’s choice. A US opt-out or Global Privacy Control signal also disables analytics. The tag library loads before a choice, and that request may disclose your IP address, browser details, and site origin to Google. RxCompare sends page-view and interaction events under the applicable regional state; it does not send them when a European visitor denies analytics or a recognized opt-out applies. No Google AdSense ads are requested in the current configuration.
Who operates this site
RxCompare is an independent prescription-cost information tool. For privacy questions, requests, or corrections, contact contact@rxcompare.app. Do not email prescription records, insurance identifiers, or other sensitive health information.
Your prescription and calculator inputs
Calculations and prescription-price searches run on your device. Price searches use a published snapshot without sending your query to pricing providers, adding it to a URL, or storing it. We do not send the medication names you enter, cash quotes, insurance costs, quantities, or results to Google Analytics or advertising services. Inputs remain in browser memory and clear when you reload. Optional medication links use URL fragments rather than query parameters. Embedded calculators do not load our Google advertising or analytics integrations.
Information processed when you browse
The hosting provider may process request logs, including IP address, requested page, browser details, and request time, to deliver and protect the site. Hosting-log retention depends on the hosting account’s configuration. When you email us, we receive your address and the information you choose to include and use it to respond to your request.

Consent Mode defaults analytics storage to granted outside the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, and denied in those regions until Google Privacy & messaging reports the visitor’s choice. A US state opt-out or Global Privacy Control signal also disables analytics. The tag library loads before a choice; Google may receive the request’s IP address, browser and device details, and site origin. Google’s advanced Consent Mode may also send cookieless consent pings while analytics storage is denied. After regional controls initialize, RxCompare sends page-view and interaction events under the applicable state; European visitors who deny analytics and visitors with a recognized opt-out do not receive measurement events. Google Analytics 4 measures aggregate visits and may receive browser and device information, IP address for processing, and first-party measurement cookie identifiers such as _ga. Our page-view configuration includes the public page URL and editorial title, including the medication name on a medication reference page. This helps us understand which articles are useful. It also includes the referring website’s origin (without its page path or search terms), reviewed campaign labels, and basic interactions such as completing a comparison, downloading a worksheet, scrolling through an article, or opening a pharmacy link. Comparison events identify only the calculator type; they do not include your prescription, inputs, or results. Arbitrary URL parameters and fragments are excluded. Reading an article is not treated as a declaration that you take a medication or have a health condition. We do not enable Google Signals or advertising personalization, or use prescription inputs to build audiences.
European visitors can change their analytics choice using the privacy controls below. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on or your browser’s cookie controls.
Google advertising and consent information
When the consent service is enabled, Google’s tag loads its privacy messages and can process information needed to deliver them, including your IP address, browser information, and existing Google cookies. Advertising requests remain paused until the required privacy signals are available. The consent provider maintains the consent record; RxCompare does not invent a consent string or treat continued browsing as consent.
When Google AdSense is used, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this site or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to personalize ads using browsing activity across sites. RxCompare requests non-personalized ads and disables personalization in its ad tag. Non-personalized ads can still use cookies and process device information, page context, IP addresses, and ad interactions for delivery, frequency limits, reporting, and fraud prevention. Required consent still applies.

Privacy and cookie settings
When Google’s European regulations message applies, the link below opens the provider’s controls to review purposes and vendors, decline consent, or change a previous decision. If the service is inactive, unavailable, or not applicable to your visit, the link leads to this information instead of claiming to save a choice. The site remains usable if you decline optional services.
You can manage personalized advertising in Google My Ad Center and opt out of participating companies’ interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance’s choices tool. These tools apply to their respective services and do not replace choices on this site.
Do not sell or share my personal information
We do not sell calculator inputs or prescription information. Advertising data processing can be considered a sale or sharing under some US state laws. When Google’s US state regulations message applies, the link below opens its opt-out controls. RxCompare does not request ads or start analytics when the provider reports an opt-out, or when your browser sends Global Privacy Control. Consent-service requests may still occur to deliver privacy controls. While the service is inactive or unavailable, contact us at the address above; merely visiting this page does not record an opt-out.
Do not sell or share my personal information
Ad partners and outside websites
The applicable Google consent message lists the configured advertising vendors, their purposes, and links to their privacy information. Review that list in Privacy and cookie settings before choosing. Google’s ad technology provider information explains its provider-selection system; it is not a claim that every listed provider operates on RxCompare.
Pharmacy links, disclosed affiliate links, and sponsor cards take you to another service when you click. That service applies its own privacy policy and may receive a referral identifier. These pharmacy, affiliate, and sponsor links suppress referrer information, and we do not append calculator inputs to outgoing links. Other requests share at most our site’s origin in the referrer header, without the page path, query string, or fragment, so Google can identify the site for its privacy messages.
Old browser storage and other choices
An earlier version could save cash-price reports in local storage under rxcompare.user-reports. We do not read or transmit those reports. You can remove them below or clear this site’s data in your browser.
You may clear cookies and local storage in your browser. Clearing the consent provider’s records can cause it to ask for your choices again. Contact us about personal information you supplied by email. We update this policy when our data practices change.
